The Headless Horseman
Lock all the doors! The Headless Horseman...beware!!!
I am truly a sucker for anything with the Headless Horseman on it. I am a librarian, so a spooky villain from a classic tale by Washington Irvin's book...yes please! Written in 1820, the Headless Horseman is a tale of a soldier's ghost that haunts the town of Sleepy Hollow. He apparently lost his head during battle due to a canon ball to the head.
This shirt by Caley Hicks is one of those Headless Horseman things that I definitely needed. How adorable is her artwork?! (You can view more of her work here ) I love that this shirt is "kid-friendly" enough for me to wear to work. I work at an elementary school so this was perfect. I was really happy with the artwork and the fit of the shirt. Of course, my husband and I took advantage of the spooky night sky we had a couple nights ago and made a little shoot around this adorable piece honoring one of our favorite villains.
